KYLE ROBINSON, AIA

Kyle has an affinity for the built environment and the work experience to understand a design from inception to completion. At a young age woodworking became a passion passed down from his father and older siblings. This desire to create in the physical world evolved into pursuits of carpentry and metal fabrication. After receiving a Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas in 2009, Kyle had a wide variety of work experiences that all contributed to the formation of RDS in 2019. 

Working for a small design / build company in Lawrence, KS, where the designer is also the lead carpenter gave him an understanding and appreciation of the knowledge required to build a home. Designing high rise urban projects in Philadelphia provided experience managing client relationships and emphasized the importance of accurate documentation. Moving to Asheville in 2011, architectural internships were not in abundance, so Kyle took a position as a framing carpenter for a residential builder. It was from this experience that he earned a level of understanding and confidence with residential construction that sets him apart from most Architects. Kyle then went on to work for a design / build architecture firm where he honed his skills as an Architect and Project Manager. During his seven years there, Kyle established many relationships that have helped him grow and expand his passion for designing the built environment.

KENDRA ROBINSON

Coming from a small farming community in Western Kansas, Kendra developed a drive for success and an unrelenting work ethic at a young age. Her interest and appreciation for the building industry began with exposure to her grandfather and father's successful carpentry businesses.

Kendra is an accomplished entrepreneur and business owner who has gained the loyalty of her clients through consistency and dedication. A passion for knowledge ensures that she stays informed with the latest technologies and cutting edge techniques. Kendra loves the process of collaborating design concepts and ideas that become integrated into each project at RDS. Her creativity, eye for detail, and organizational skills give her the ability to execute design elements throughout the projects.
